#WrenFeathers summer sew along week 4 had a pair of "fourth of July " sandals as one of the projects. Megan and Emily have been eyeing the pattern thinking sandals would be so much cooler for the summer than wellies.
Instead of using red,white and blue fabric we chose sparkly white and silver fabric thinking it would go with more outfits.
To avoid glue issues,we got sticky back foam sheets for the sole and sole lining. While this method doesn't require waiting for the glue to dry, it is very unforgiving. If you don't have it correct the first time, then you have to start over. Once the sticky side of the sole touches the sticky side of the sole lining there is no going back.
