#Christmas is coming, 'tis the season to order doll clothes as presents. I received an request for matching #WellieWisher #Christmas dresses.
After thinking on it for a while, I decided to use a pattern I designed last year. This pattern features a sleeveless dress with a sheer yoke and a full skirt.
The yokes were cut from a red sheer organza with sparkles. And the remainder of the dresses were cut out in this years #Christmas fabric, green with a penguin print.
The red was repeated in the ribbon at the waist and again in the ribbon at the hem.

Meggan's Nutcracker PJs
Another order for #WellieWisher pajamas came in. Once again I chose the #CrabapplesBotique Pajama Party pattern from #PixieFaire.
This time I chose a printed fabric that makes me think of the Gingerbread Town in the Nutcracker and I paired it with a solid green fabric.

Plaid Christmas Pajamas
I received an order to make pajamas for #AmericanGirlDoll Logan as a granddaughter was getting him for #Christmas. While once upon a time I had the #OurGenerationGirl boy doll, he got lost in one of my last moves. So this would be my first foray into making boy clothes in years.
Fortunately, Logan wears the same size as the #AmericanGirlDoll and I have a plethora of patterns in this size. And one of them was Simplicity 5276. After doing some research, I discovered that view F would work with one pocket on the left and in a masculine fabric. I chose a red and green plaid for the fabric.
I finished the look with red buttons that are just for appearance, though, as there are snaps underneath each button.
Anna offered to model the pajamas for the pictures.

Shola's Marsha Christmas Dress
After a long window with little time to get much sewing done, the opportunity to have a sewing spree was a nice change of pace.
Once again I chose a combination of Christmas fabric and red polka dot fabric. For this dress, I used the Miss Cake's Closet Marsha dress pattern from Pixie Faire. This pattern was inspired by Marsha Brady.
The Christmas fabric was used for the main dress and the red polka dot fabric for the contrasting fabric.
The dress is sized for #WellieWishers or #Hearts4HeartsGirls, but there is also a version for American Girl.

Laura's Lilibet Christmas Dress
In a move to accomplish two goals, I chose to use this year's Christmas fabric to test the new Lilibet Dress Pattern by Sweet Pea Fashions on Pixie Faire.
I chose the short sleeve option using two different fabrics to give a faux jacket look. For the main fabric, I used this year's Christmas fabric. Then I chose a red polka dot fabric for the accent fabric. Instead of using lace along the edge of the curved seam, I chose to use red piping.
As I put the piping along the edge of the curved seam on the red fabric, I got the fun of fighting tension issues on my sewing machine. I stuck it out and finished the dress.
Laura volunteered to model the look.

Maya's Regency Dress
Having a small break from long hours at work, I got a chance to catch up with the Pattern Academy class I was auditing. This time around I decided to use the A Girl for All Time sloper.
After playing with a couple ideas that have not worked yet, I started on a Regency style dress. It took several attempts, adjusting pieces of the pattern before reaching the point of being ready to put it all together.
A green fabric with a leaf print was chosen for the fabric. It took just over one fat quarter to cut out the pieces. If I had gone for less skirt fullness, I might have gotten away with cutting it all out of one fat quarter.
The bodice has a rounded neckline and an empire waist. The sleeves are puffed at the top then fitted to the wrist. The skirt is gathered and is floor length.

Meet A Girl for All Time Maya
A recent addition to our family is #AGirlforAllTime Maya.
Since this is our first #AGirlforAllTime doll, I had to dig out the slopers from #LibertyJanePatternAcademy and use the skills I learned in the course to create a new look for Maya.
The dress has a lace yoke with a blue chiffon lining. It is sleeveless in a blue flowered cotton with a circle skirt.
We finished the look with tear drop earrings and a blue ribbon belt.
Since the shoes from her original outfit don't go with the look, we're going to have to go shoe shopping.
Check out her picture at Sewdolledup.blogspot.com.

Wellie Wishers Prairie Rose
It has been a while since I posted due to a recent move and having to set my sewing room back up.
To try out the new set up, I tested the Thimbles and Acorns pattern Prairie Rose on #PixieFaire. I used the present dress pattern and a butterfly print cotton. The pattern also has a past version with an apron and bonnet.
The pattern features a yoke with a gathered bodice. The skirt is also gathered and falls just above the knee. The sleeves have a placket and the band closes with a button for ease of fitting over her hands.
See this look is modeled by #welliewishers Willa at sewdolledup.blogspot.com.

Carly's Dress for Wellie Wishers
Deciding we'd had enough winter and wanting something that reminded us of spring, Megan (#welliewishers Willa) and I chose some btight flowery fabrics to make the new Originals by Gaby pattern Carly's Dress from #PixieFaire.
The main dress is a blue fabric with white, purple and green flowers. The accent fabric is a bright green with white flowers. Additional accents were provided by purple ribbon and white buttons.

Interested in the pattern but don't have a #welliewishers? It's also available for #bittybaby on #PixieFaire.

Regency Dress and Pelisse
#AmericanGirlDoll Caroline got her new pattern on #PixieFaire freebie Friday a few months ago and has been patiently waiting for her new look to move to the top of the priority list.
The pattern by Thimbles and Acorns is an empire waist dress with a pelisse.
For the dress we used a white eyelet with a light pink chiffon overlay. And then we picked a light pink eyelet and a matching cotton lining.
The look was finished with light pink buttons and Caroline's pink shoes.
