Alicia has been watching the Freebie Fridays on Pixie Faire. And a few weeks ago she saw the Sheath Dress.
This dress is fully lined and fastens down the back with an invisible zipper. Talk about feeling grown up. Alicia picked out a red polka dot fabric for her look to keep the look a little younger.
Then because it is January, she decided a jacket was in order. Alicia chose the Penny Lane Jacket also available on Pixie Faire. She felt the curves of the jacket and the collar would help balance out the slight slope in her shoulders.
For the jacket, Alicia picked out a solid red. The jacket features cuffed sleeves and a single button closure in the front. The slightly more casual feel of the jacket also helps keep the look young and modern.
While these looks are designed for the American Girl doll, the dress fits Alicia with just a little more fullness through the body. The shoulder seam on the jacket is a bit off where it would be on an American Girl doll, but Alicia wanted to be able to be able to share the look. She likes the jacket's look enough, we may have to make the jacket again with an adjusted shoulder so its better tailored to her.
